Description
Intro
Lift the family’s spirits with a stay at this welcoming Walberswick residence. Convenient, versatile and putting together-time at the heart of your holiday, it’s the perfect place in which to unwind and reconnect with those you hold most dear.
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Up to seven people can enjoy peaceful slumbers here – there’s one double bedroom and two each with twin beds, one of which has an additional pull-out mattress which is perfect for sleepover-style fun. A pretty pastel-coloured family bathroom on the upper floor is complemented by a shower room at ground level – superb for showering off the sand and salt after a day at the seaside!
Cooking and dining
The large, light-filled kitchen features a classic wood-and-white colour scheme and contains an electric cooker and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment and washing machine. There’s plenty of space to chop and cook companionably, and close by there’s a rustic dining table and chairs where you can enjoy garden views while you eat. A paved patio area within the rear garden offers outdoor dining space in a secluded setting also.
Outside
Well-tended gardens and a quiet location close to Walberswick’s ancient church create a haven of peace, while high hedges provide a secure setting for children to let off steam in safety. And play they will – in fact there’ll be no stopping them once they’ve spotted the garden house that’s equipped with a children’s table, chairs, stools and toys, including a giant Connect 4 game! Grown-up fun is guaranteed too, thanks to the brick-built barbecue – bring your own disposables – and garden furniture, or you could all wander to the harbour entrance for a friendly crab-catching contest.
Practicalities
Central heating and carpets underfoot keep the cottage warm and cosy, while a digital TV, DVD player, iPod dock and WIFi mean guests can stay connected to the outside world. There’s off-road parking for up to three cars and stairgates are provided – with fittings already in position – for peace of mind if you’re holidaying here with youngsters.
