Description

Intro

Light, bright and as family-friendly as the village in which it resides, this five-bedroom holiday home has been recently renovated and comes with the full complement of easy-living essentials. With private parking, a cool coastal vibe and a choice of fun activities for all ages to enjoy, the only thing that’s missing is you!

Bedrooms and bathrooms

Five bedrooms and four bathrooms add up to the ultimate in choice and convenience for every guest, and with one of each of these on the ground floor even those who prefer one-level living can be accommodated comfortably too. A king-size bed, calm colour palette and windows onto the garden guarantee a good night’s sleep in the ground floor bedroom, while a separate shower room can only add to the ease of a holiday here. On the first floor above, there are two further kind-size-bedded rooms, both boasting beautiful sea views and one with its own en suite shower room, plus a third bedroom that has twin beds and more stunning views. Off the landing here there’s a bathroom with bath and separate shower enclosure – Jack and Jill-style doors lead into one of the bedrooms, and there’s an electronic lock system for assured privacy. A further twin-bedded room on the second floor enjoys an elevated sea vista, as does the shower room close by.

Cooking and dining

A large entrance hallway complete with storage and the perfect dog bed space leads on to the true heart of this superb holiday home: its open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Even the most discerning of chefs will delight in the attention to detail here – two dishwashers, two ovens, a five-ring induction hob, drinks fridge and large American-style fridge freezer all make light work of big group gatherings. A contemporary dining table and scene-stealing, colourful chairs bring on-trend cheer to the dining area, the sense of fun accentuated by the nearby table football game. Sliding glazed doors lead from here into a seaside-style garden where you’ll find a patio area complete with an outdoor dining suite plus a charcoal barbecue and – for working up an appetite, perhaps – a table tennis table.

Outside

Gardens to both front and rear are newly-landscaped and between them feature decking, outdoor furniture, shingle, lawn and patio areas… plus a charcoal barbecue and table tennis table. Additionally, there’s private parking for up to three cars – in such a close-to-the-beach location, that’s a real bonus!

Practicalities

A contemporary Rais woodburner sits in one corner of the open plan living space, offering a cosy feel and a seasonal boost to the underfloor heating that runs throughout the ground floor. Complementing the table tennis and football tables, there’s more contemporary entertainment to be had courtesy of Smart TVs in both the sitting area and separate snug – the former also has an internet-enabled stereo system and the latter its own woodburner. One well-behaved dog is welcome to holiday here and more may be accommodated by special arrangement – please call us to discuss that – and, of course, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are all included in your holiday price.
• If your holiday party needs more space, how about booking neighbouring 2 Anchor Cottage? It has sleeping space for six, is dog-friendly and even boasts its own sauna… what a treat!
