Description
Intro
Sea views and Victorian styling plus private parking and a pretty garden – all are waiting to welcome and delight visitors to this double-fronted family home. With two sitting rooms, seemingly acres of space and additional outdoor storage it poses only one question: how soon can you get here?
Bedrooms and bathrooms
Fine period features and stunning sea views define the elegant bathrooms and bedrooms which are arranged across the first and second floors – beautiful as well as practical, they really demonstrate the owner’s attention to detail and dedication to guests’ comfort. On the first floor you’ll find a spacious double bedroom with a lovely view to the sea, plus a twin-bedded room and a large bathroom with Victorian-style tiled walls and floor, a large corner shower cubicle and a traditional roll-top bath. Above, the master bedroom on the second floor has a king-sized bed and stunning views thanks to two large windows – stretch out on the sofa here and enjoy some me-time while you watch the world go by. A second cosy bedroom has bunk beds and so is ideal for children, and the bathroom on this floor features a bath and separate shower cubicle plus pretty tiling. A shower room on the ground floor, easily accessed either through the kitchen or from the garden, is a great additional convenience and, like the bathrooms, comes complete with a heated towel rail for home-from-home comfort.
Cooking and dining
The aged floorboards of the front hallway guide your first steps towards a well-planned kitchen with fitted cabinets, contemporary tiling and a classic country-style table with bench seats at its centre. Catering for eight is no hassle here thanks to the gas range cooker, large fridge freezer, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher and walk-in larder. Share food and fun outdoors too – the rear garden comes complete with table and chairs.
Outside
A pretty tiled path leads from front gate to doorway, setting off beautifully the bay windows and seaside-style planting to each side. At the rear of the property, the paved garden features mature shrubs and a pergola with climbing plants, plus furniture for outdoor dining opportunities. A shed attached to the property provides the perfect storage space for bicycles and beach essentials, and a door enables movement between garden and street without having to go through the house – great for easy access to the ground floor shower room when you need to wash off the sand and seasalt!
Practicalities
Two sitting rooms and a wealth of ground floor conveniences make this substantial seaside home a wise choice for big and multi-generational holiday groups – there really is space for everyone and a wealth of ‘wow’ factor features throughout. Sandy toes are sure to be a daily occurrence with the beach so close by, so the ground floor shower room is a really useful facility, as is the neighbouring utility room where there’s a coat rack, storage and a washing machine and tumble dryer. WiFi, a Smart TV and toy box will provide entertainment for all ages, and there’s an off-street parking space in front of the owner’s garage – more is available on the roadside outside.
