Description

Intro

Beautiful period features complemented by modern comfort and convenience and a much-coveted seafront location make this converted coach house an excellent reflection of all that’s special about Southwold itself. With two gardens, private parking, plenty of space for six guests and a front-row seat for sunrise each day, it’s ready to welcome you!

Bedrooms and bathrooms

The three bedrooms here share a pastel coastal palette and have built-in storage space so you can settle in effortlessly. All on the first floor, one has a double bed, one has twin beds and the master room has wonderful sea views and a super-king zip-and-link bed which could also be set up as twins – just let us know which arrangement you’d prefer when you book your stay here. A family bathroom on this floor features a classic suite, while downstairs there’s a luxurious shower room.

Cooking and dining

Guests love chilling out in the beautiful sitting room and spacious sunroom here, but the kitchen is somewhere you’ll enjoy spending time in too. Here, style and function get equal billing – fittings include an electric oven and induction hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, Bosch washing machine and a selection of cookery books to whet everyone’s appetite. Off the kitchen, the dining area shares the same original wood block parquet flooring as the sitting room – it’s been beautifully preserved, so no heels please! – and there are tables and chairs in the walled courtyard garden if you’d like to enjoy food and drink in your own private outdoor space.

Outside

A large, lawned garden leads directly onto the seafront footpath and, in just a few steps, to nearby landmarks the Lord Nelson inn and the Sailors’ Reading Room. Enjoy the magnificent sea views here, or soak up the sun more privately in the enclosed paved and gravelled courtyard garden.

Practicalities

Off-street parking for two cars is accessed from each of the garden areas and is a real prize for such a seafront location. WiFi, bed linen and towels are all provided, gas central heating will keep you cosy whatever the weather, and, should you tire of the sea views, there’s a TV, DVD player, Bluetooth speaker with radio and a selection of board games for further entertainment.
