Just a mile from the coast and with pretty countryside right on the doorstep this Reydon cottage, on the site of a former school, is in a class of its own.

Bedrooms and bathrooms

A small family or group of friends will appreciate the flexibility of the bedrooms here – both on the first floor, there’s a stylish double bed in one of the bedrooms, and a pair of twin beds in the other. Attention to detail is evident in each – you’ll find a children’s toy basket full of beach essentials in the twin room, while the double even has a hair dryer and straighteners to make holidays here a true home-from-home. A pretty white bathroom on this floor has countryside views and an over-bath shower, while on the ground floor there’s a handy cloakroom with washbasin and WC.

Cooking and dining

Out-of-the-box freshness oozes from the kitchen, where a wood-and-white colour scheme is accessorised with cheerful tiling and all the mod cons – there’s even a coffee machine to kick-start your mornings. Cooks will love the electric oven and gas hob combo, and there’s a fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher to make light work of every mealtime. Dine at the table in the open plan sitting/dining room or throw open the newly-installed French doors and feast outside – there’s a table and seats for four in the private courtyard garden.

Surrounded by Suffolk countryside, Teal Cottage is an ideal base for walkers and cyclists who’ll find numerous routes the moment they step out the front door. To the rear of the property, though, is your own personal rural idyll – a courtyard garden complete with outdoor furniture and fully enclosed for privacy.

Southwold and all its attractions are just over a mile from here, but you’ll find a shop and pub closer and a bus stop just two minutes’ walk away – off-road parking is available at the front of the cottage so you can let your motor have a holiday too! Gas heating, WiFi, towels, books and games are all provided for your entertainment and convenience, and there’s a washer-dryer to take care of any laundry-type chores while you’re here. Children are especially welcome – kid-sized cutlery and socket safety covers add peace of mind. We do feel, however, that Teal Cottage may not suit allergy sufferers, as the owner’s dog is an occasional visitor.

Thank you for a lovely week's stay in your beautiful cottage. It is a perfect place - so peaceful and relaxing
