Description

Intro
Sunshine-bright walls, warm wooden floors and windows reaching from the ground right up to the roof make this an ideal couples' retreat.

Bedrooms and bathrooms
Wake up to something different every day - the first floor bedroom here boasts unbeatable views of the surrounding countryside as well as honey-hued beams, plenty of space to stretch out and a fresh white en-suite shower room.

Cooking and dining
An open plan sitting, dining and kitchen area fills the ground floor. Flooded with light, comfortably furnished and considerately-equipped, it's a real home-from-home.

Outside
Location is all in this enchanting countryside escape, and there's an acre of land for you to explore here, with the promise of unrivalled views of Southwold and the Blythburgh Marshes beyond - expect to see Marsh Harriers, Barn Owls and Egrets. A simple landscaping scheme of gravel, grass and rustic walls creates a look that's sympathetic to its surroundings - sit awhile on the seating that's provided and take it all in. There's a choice of trails all around - why not park your car and plan a week of walks or cycle rides?

Practicalities
It's designed to be the ultimate holiday hideaway, but if you really have to stay in contact with the outside world, Marsh Cottage Hide has free Wi-Fi. There's a TV, DVD and woodburner for cosy nights spent snuggled on the sofa. The kitchen includes a small freezer, and guests are welcome to use the washing machine which is in the utility room of the owner's home adjacent - a key will be provided.  The owners consider the property unsuitable for toddlers, children or babies.
